TEH LIVE – On Justin.TV, YouTube, And iTunes Soon

8 Comments Community, The Electric Hydra

One of the things you fret over when you’re the social dude at the reigns of a podcast is how to leverage content. We use the Twitter and the Facebook in coordination with our stuff and our outreach, but we haven’t used YouTube. That changed this week with the pilot episode of The Electric Hydra LIVE.

In a nugget, TEH LIVE will be a bi-weekly-to-tri-weekly live version of our fair podcast where we focus on you and what we’re doing right at that moment. We’ll stream it our page on Justin.TV and then after the fact, upload the content to YouTube and an audio version to our pod feed. This is a scatter-shot approach that kills three birds with a single stone. And though I’m writing as the marketer  here, make no bones about it — this is going to be an awesome show.

While we broadcast, you’ll be able to listen to us talk in a live context, give us instant feedback, and be a part of the discussion. You’ll also be able to gander at my muscles in the meanwhile if you’re so inclined. It’s a win-win, really, because at the end of the day, you’re going to be getting new and different content in a completely different context.

I don’t have a hard start date for TEH LIVE, but we’ll let you all know when and where as we find a good time for all of us and you. Chances are that it’ll be broadcast around 8 or 9 PM Eastern Standard Time around the middle of the week.

In addition to this, we’ll eventually upload some fun stuff up on our YouTube channels. Most likely, this content will take the form of select snippets of discussion married with video or fun little pictures from our previous podcasts. If you’d like to follow us, we’re right here and if you’d like to create your own stuff, please do so — we’ll like it, I swear.

Honestly, the more stuff you create, the bigger and more badass we’ll get. Remember a fun discussion during our cast? Let’s see what you can create.

So this live cast is for Americans and insomniacs only then?

Oh man, this is a fantastic idea! I can’t wait!

Quite excited for this. If this is going to be a regular thing though you guys should invest in some decent lighting for the video feed. The TEH test vid on your Youtubes was kinda on the dark side.

Hell yeah, I loved the test stream, now I’m stoked for the regular thing!

Hey man, Be sure to check out Own3d.tv if you end up having any problems with justin.tv . I stream a bunch of league of legends and almost all the big LoL streamers moved over to own3d.tv recently and in general, from the watching standpoint anyway, it seems to be really solid.

[...] couple of weeks ago, I came to you blabbering about live audio. I had a good plan. We would release live audio alongside our traditional releases. These shows [...]
