BUMMER. I does step up the action after you bounce from the Citadel. Virmire, Feros, and Novaria are all pretty stimulating.

I'll most likely get back to it some day, I don't like having a backlog of unfinished games (unless they're Kane & Lynch)

Since we're all about Mass Effect right now, I'll ask this question: I only have a PS3, is it worth it to start with Mass Effect 2 even without the previous save file? I ask because I think the saves carrying over is one of the coolest aspects.

Gameplay-wise, the first is not spectacular. The 'up-to-speed' is all you really need. ME2 is miles better than the first, IMHO.
