94 – Sports, User Experiences, and Borderlands 2

Heads up: this is another episode of The Electric Hydra Internet Radio Show where Joseph and I talk about sports. For about 10 minutes or so, we break down this week’s Titans vs Colts match-up. Topics include: how beastly Andrew Luck is, the Peyton Manning Face, and how crappy the AFC continues to be.

Later, we do talk about some video games. Specifically, Joseph talks about his time with “Borderlands 2″ and I try to convince Joseph that “XCOM” rocks. After this we somehow start talking about consoles, PC, next gen, and modern console user experiences. NEAT.

93 – Linde Knowledge Bomb

Ever wanted to listen to four dudes on a podcast talk about roguelikes, punitive design, and farts? Hope so, because that’s what we did on this week’s episode. “FTL: Faster Than Light” takes center stage, as it sparks a conversation about luck and progression across a variety of games. But we also give some time to “Dishonored” and the new “XCOM,” both of which are fantastic games, too.

I think we’re all pretty stoked about this week’s episode, so we hope you like it. Lots of video games this week, and it sounds like we’ll have a lot more games to talk about the next time we can find a time to meet. Neat!

92 – What’s Up, Guys?

This week’s episode of The Electric Hydra Internet Radio show is a life show, which may or may not be what you’re looking for depending on your expectations for this podcast in general. Obviously, Borderlands 2 is out. That’s a big deal for Anthony. So, I wanted to try to capture this moment in audio form and maybe give you guys a glance at what this is like. Games take years to make, man, and now his is FINALLY out, you know? It’s sort of a big deal.

Other subjects this week include Topher’s dog, gold-starring games, and a mission in BL2 that old Podtoid fans will definitely get a kick out of.

As I say at the top of this one, the next time we meet, we’ll definitely talk about some more video games. I’ve got a cool plan to make that happen, possibly sooner than later. We’ll see.

91 – Madden Payne Sports Cast

Hi! This week, Joseph and Brad discuss the latest Madden, Madden 13. Also, we talk about real football. All of this takes a total of 16 or so minutes, if you want to skip all the sports junk. After this, Joseph gives me his thoughts on LA Noire, and somehow we end up talking about Max Payne 3. Weird, right?

Anyway, you can listen below. Enjoy!

90 – I Like Nolan North. And Jetpacks.

Hey, we’re back. This week on The Electric Hydra Internet Radio Show Aaron, Anthony, and I talk about video games. Specifically, we shoot the breeze about an upcoming iPad game called “Gasketball,” “Anarchy Reigns,” and touch on teaching others how to play MOBAs.

There’s some other stuff, too, but I forgot. Vaguely, I recall a “Gears of War 3″ talk, so look forward to that. Maybe. Or not.

89 – What’s Up You’re Eating Salad, Bro

On this week’s episode of The Electric Hydra Internet Radio Show, Joseph and Brad talk about all sorts of stuff. We talk lightly about “Spec Ops: The Line” and “Spelunky,” but go pretty in-depth with the latest “Mass Effect 3,” which is basically terrible. As with all our podcasts, expect some discussion of the gym, carbs, and Joseph’s house.

This episode was a short one. We had some weird audio issues, and then it just started to get too late in the afternoon. We’ll try to get a longer one to you next week. Thanks for understanding, though. You’re a rockstar!

88 – You Wanna Call It?

Don’t let the title scare you. In this week’s episode of The Electric Hydra Internet Radio Show On The Internet, the cast and crew discuss “Quantum Conundrum” and how it’s been reviewed. After that, Anthony and Brad argue about Ridley Scott’s new sci-fi flick Prometheus. If you’ve been holding off on seeing the latter and don’t want to get spoiled, you should probably skip this one until your earholes are good and ready.

Thanks for being awesome and patient! You can listen to our latest episode just below or subscribe to our iTunes feed. It appears that our old Zune feed is a lost cause, and we’re bummed about that. But you didn’t really like your Zune HD all that much anyway, right?

87 – We’re Still Here

Ever forget what you just talked about? Yeah, so that just happened to me. Basically, I can’t remember a thing that happened in this podcast. I assume we talked about some video games. Maybe we didn’t, though. Maybe we talked about elephants and lollipops. Or squishy things. Or how everything in an ice cream store is bad for you. I really don’t know. I’m just throwing out ideas here and filling up space on this post.

But, hey, you can find out what we said this week. Just, you know, click the link below. Awesome!

86 – Game Club: ‘Max Payne’

Wow! So, it’s been awhile. But, hey, here’s the first episode in our Max Payne Game Club Thing That We Agreed To Do A Billion Years Ago series. As you’ll notice, it’s just me and Joseph. There’s a few reasons for that, and we dive into those at the top of the new podcast. The short version is that all our personal lives are changing or our days are getting busier. We do the best we can to give you what we can, so hopefully this feels like enough. If not, sorry bros.

Anyway, if you’d like to listen hit that link below. Joseph and I are actually thinking about doing “Max Payne 3″ before “Max Payne 2,” so be on the look-out for future but out of order episodes in the future. Also, we’re going to do a regular show ASAP.

I know it’s “old” or whatever, but if you want to join up with me TONIGHT at 8:30 EST, give our forum thread a visit and drop your gamertag. Should be radical. Probably. If the servers don’t suck. We’ll see!
